Jarrah Csunyoscka is an artist and student based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal. His interdispilinary practice combines research, viewer participation, and multiple physical mediums. His work has been shown by Emporium Builders Bupplies, Fais Moi L’art and Produit Rien, shown virtually by Yiara magazine Published independently and in aflots vol. 4.
Artist Statement
I am Concerned with finding and producing form, action, and image which sustain continuation not only in their content but in their very construction; things which will not stagnate because they will not cease to be worked. I follow these parameters to make works that aren’t place holders of meaning but companions to producing it. Their conceptual frameworks spring from their material histories and the necessities of their context. Provisional utilitarian forms, functions, and approaches are incorporated into the work, straddling the gap between art object, everyday item, and active intervention.
